We finally had our first practice Monday night! I must say, it was great to finally meet all the girls and to get started. It brought back a lot of memories from my drill team days, and I'm glad so many traditions have still been kept alive...i.e. the infamous "Fight Song!"
It will definitely take me a little time to learn all 34 names, but I have a bunch down already! The girls did a great job, especially considering the crazy heat! Wednesday is supposed to be even hotter, so hopefully we won't melt out on the field!
I want to thank all you girls for welcoming me so kindly, and I look forward to working with you all and getting to know you better!
